Constellation Brands is home to some of the most well-known and high-end spirits on the market. And one of the main ways they gain popularity for their brands is by making them a bartender’s favorite. We needed to educate bartender’s on how to use our incredible spirits in a way that felt personal and elevated. But, we had to do it with only an iPad.

Enter: The Bartender’s Field Notes. An iPad-based cocktail book for bartenders in the know filled with recipes and info on Constellations top spirits brands. Designed to look like the rough-and-tumble idea notebook of the most inventive mixologist, the guide featured gorgeous cocktail photography alongside handwritten recipe notes, drawings, and an occasional spill for authenticity.

Our goal was to create something tactical that felt real, even in a digital space. All the convenience of a clickable table of contents, but with the high-craft accents to draw them into the details. Our clients (and bartenders) loved this piece so much, it has even been translated and rolled out for Constellation’s Asian market.
